Striving for Success: African-American Male Summit is a day-long event that inspires African-American males entering 9th grade to excel in their education. These young males will meet successful African-American professionals and attend motivational workshops. The Summit is co-hosted by 100 Black Men of Omaha, African-American Empowerment Network and Urban League of Nebraska.
Who should attend? The summit is for any young male entering the 9th grade in the 2018-2019 School Year. The summit is FREE for young males, but registration is required. Please have the young man and his parent/guardian complete a registration form. What should attendees wear? Summit attire is business casual, which includes jeans or khakis and polo or dress shirt. Absolutely NO hats, sandals, jerseys, or athletic clothes.
Can adults and/or females attend the summit? The breakout sessions are only open to young males and adult Role Models. However, anyone — teachers, parents or community members and no matter your gender identity — may attend the luncheon featuring our keynote speaker for a fee.
