In addition, SMT aims to provide students with study skills and strategies that will improve their test-taking ability and increase their confidence/attitude towards mathematics. SMT targets 7th, 8th, and 9th grade mentees enrolled in Pre- Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry who made a C or lower in their last math course. Students meet with experienced and dedicated state certified math instructors twice per week during the school year.

Program Objectives:

● Increase student success (B or above) in math courses, raising their GPA.

● Encourage continued enrollment in recommended math courses for their grade level, resulting in better preparation for ACT test.
